Dual Rim Runner Transition System
The Dual Rim Runner Transition System
Transition offense is important because it gives us some of the most valuable scoring chances in the game. Being able to get shots at the rim against a defense that is not completely set allows us to be more efficient and compete against bigger teams. To me - the best motivator for emphasis on transition is that it can reduce the pressure on coaches to make play calls every trip down the floor.
In a Dual Rim Runner System, we are designating Two Rim Runners (4,5) and using them to consistently have a Rim Running Threat and a Trailing Player to achieve balanced spacing on the floor.
In this post, I wanted to provide coaches with a detailed breakdown of how to use the Dual Rm Runner System, what the coaching points are, and how to install it on the practice floor.
